TWGHs Wong See Sum Kindergarten participated in “A Healthy Harmonious and Caring Campus Award Scheme” organised by Hong Kong Acad-emy of School Managers Limited, and received the “Caring Team” award. Ms. Cheng Lai Yan and Ms. Ng Hoi Ki were named the “All-round Caring Teacher” and the “Caring Teacher” respectively in recognition of the Kindergarten’s effort in providing a healthy and caring campus.
New “Amazing Curriculum” – Amazing Blocks
Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Kindergarten was the first to introduce building blocks made in Japan, and designed interesting and interesting building blocks courses for children in the hospital.
Our school integrates information technology into learning, and we also have an ” amazing pen” program that aids children to learn. We have both Chinese and English courses, as well as suitable activity books and reading cards for children to learn on their own. Using the reading pen helps improve students’ learning motivation and promotes learning effectiveness.
Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Kindergarten Amazing Channel” is available on YOUTUBE. Each episode features our students as protagonists, bringing different educational, cultural as well as other information and life skills from all over the world. We hope that by participating in the filming of the Amazing Channel, in a lively way, every child will be able to perform confidently and experience a pleasant and different learning process.

Our school won the 18th Hong Kong Green school award (Pre-school Category ) : Outstanding Award in “Environmental Infrastructure”.
We also won the award of 15th, 16th and 17th Hong Kong Green school award (Pre-school Category ) : “Parent’s Participation in Environmental Activities”, “ Environmental Education”, “ Environmental Management”. Our school always puts in the best efforts to remain eco-friendly and continually works towards environmental protection, recycling by making the best use of materials to reduce usage in order to enhance our school environment.
Course is designed by the professional team of the Ho Yuk Ching Educational Psychology Service Center of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. It is based on the kindness curriculum developed by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, and is designed as a localized compassion course set for young children. The course aims to teach children to be kind-hearted and also seeks to improve children’s self-regulation. This course is for children in the lower and upper kindergarten classes. After completing the whole course, the children should be able to solve problems with their peers on their own, and also have a better understanding of other people’s feelings.
It is a great honor for our kindergarten to win the theme award of “Caring School Award Scheme” in 2020 (Kindergarten Category).
Our kindergarten has always been committed to promoting a culture of caring, and has created a learning environment full of love, so that children can learn how to spread love and positivity.
As children’s first teachers, parents play a crucial role in children’s upbringing. Parent education is therefore an essential part of quality early childhood education.Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Kindergarten utilizes the “one-off Parent Education Grant to Scheme-KGs” of Education Bureau to launch the “360-Star Parent Course”. The program allows parents to learn the knowledge and skills needed to nurture their children more systematically, and to promote a good parent-child relationship and balance their child’s development.
The “360 Star Parent Course” will be held from November 2022 to June 2023, and this will be a reward program.
The Prize Presentation Ceremony for Student of the Year Award cum HKDSE Outstanding Awards 2022 was held to celebrate outstanding student performances. Our students Chan Pui Yin was awarded the Student of the Year Award.
“TWGHs Flag Day 2022” was held on Wednesday, 31 August 2022 to raise funds for our community and education services. Our kindergarten also won the first runner-up in the kindergarten category of the school’s highest student participation rate award. As appreciation of your zealous efforts.
Our kindergartens received the “Hygiene Control System Certification” from the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA). The certification recognized their establishment of health and safety standards regarding the quality of air, water and food. In addition, TWGHs also received the “Hygiene Control System Corporate Certificate” from the HKQAA as an acknowledgement of the Group’s effort in motivating its kindergartens to create a healthy and safe environment for their students.
